Today, as many as 35 students Smanda, 17 students from grade XI and 18 students from grade XII, are following the International Test on English. The Test conducted by the UNIVERSITY OF NEW SOUTH WALES AUSTRALIA better known as ICAS (International Competitions and Assessments for Schools) is a test to measure students' ability in English. Each participant will know his ability which can be compared with other participants from 10 other countries
that follow this test.
SMAN 2 Malang began to include students who are selected in this international test since 2007. This program is a follow-up of the teaching TOEFL Smanda since 2006. Students who are selected are those who get Toefl score of 450 up. From the test results achieved by smanda students in the last 2 years showed an increase in their English proficiency, and in the hope that today's test will give better results. Each participant will receive a certificate issued by the UNSW Australia, and if any of them who would study abroad, particularly Australia, the certificate will be useful as credit points. Although SMAN 2 Malang is not Internasional Standerdized School (ISS), but Smanda has done one of the ISS characteristics ,English proficiency.
This will make Smanda ready when later becomes ISS.
